Magic. Memories. Hope. Laughter. Food. Drink. Games. Traditions. Children. Adults. Music.
And above all, before all, during all, after all, everything was and is about the birth of the Savior of the world, the only reason for Christmas, the One who made Christmas not merely a day but one of the two greatest acts of love the world has ever known.
As we look forward into 2016, I can’t help but one little peak back at glimpses of a couple of my favorite days of 2015: Christmas Eve and Christmas Day. These are just snapshots, just a small sampling of those days, and honestly I didn’t focus on taking great pictures but rather on recording great moments.
Thanks for letting me share them with you. I hope your Christmas was magical.
Love. These. Littles.
Love. The. Magic.
Love. These. Girls.
Ready for the new year. Serious cuteness.
Enthralled by the trains. Just the next generation enjoying the lure of the past.
Love. This. Boy.
Three of the original seven siblings.
We have some great, great men in our family. So very grateful.
Cousin love, cousin fun.
Happy girl. Happy, pretty girl.
Not the best picture because really, Mama? You’re making us wait?!?!?
The stockings were too full to be hung any more, and so they awaited their peeps on the floor.
We were all too rushed to let me take a good picture, but that’s ok … I can remember how we all felt. And I must say, it was pretty good.
One of these days he’ll be too big for this papasan … must soak this up now while he still fits in it.
Love. This. Boy.
Christmas morning can be pretty exhausting for a 7-month-old kitten who doubles as a flying squirrel …
Peaceful and happy in and around their new papasans. Not exactly the easiest things to wrap … but 100% worth it.
Grateful to do like with this wonderful man who loves big and makes me laugh and holds the keys to my heart … and always will.
Grateful for this man who is part Jimmy Stewart, part Cary Grant, part Gregory Peck, and 100% my Daddy.
And the fun continued at Gramma & Big Daddy’s … how I love and cherish these traditions.
Pretty cool when cousins can be some of the best of friends …
For the part of Christmas morning that involves seven adults and five children …
The stair step height of five of my favorite people in the world … Time is going soooooo fast.
A girl and her boots. Happiness in shoe form.
I could not be more grateful for these people and these traditions. They are part of me and part of Brian and now part of our precious children. And that is all precious to me.
And all of this is because of the birth of the Savior more than two thousand years ago. He is everything. And family and traditions enrich it all.
We hope the Christmas season for y’all brought sweet moments, laughter, blessings, and the Hope of the world. So much love to you and your family from me and mine.
